This should be a far-fetched fantasy or joke with the Supreme Court ruling as the punch line.
But, now, the biggest change in our country has taken place with barely a whimper, with no shots fired, and the media amazingly silent about this.
It’s as if ten 9/11 attacks happened, and no one reported on it.
Perhaps our new masters will be benevolent. Perhaps they won’t. Either way, we are theirs, body and soul.
The citizenry is now a wholly-owned subsidiary of not just the U.S. corporations, but the corporations of the world, some of them completely government-backed, as in China.
When Chinese corporations start buying our politicians we will have found that “too big to fail” has taken on a new meaning. Not even our vaunted Exxon Mobil will be able to stand up against them.
And to think people were carrying signs this summer, worried about whether the U.S. would become more socialistic. Now those people need not be concerned about socialism. Instead, we have a corporate-rule of the United States that will prove to be an enemy to the left and the right. What’s more there are no tools of government to undo this ruling, as Keith Olbermann describes in his Special Comment:
