The Absurdity of the Democrats

While we have comforted ourselves during George W. Bush’s reign as President that the Democrats were so ineffectual as an opposition party because of the hyper-aggressive stances by the GOP that allowed no room for Democrats to influence the debate, we have now seen what the Democrats do when they hold all the cards.

Nothing.

Or more to the point: The exact same thing that they did when Bush was President. Democrats cower in weakness and timidity, with only a few showing some spine and intestinal fortitude. However, these Democrats that are not spineless are the ones who have been purchased completely by corporate interests and show their bravery by opposing everything that Progressive Democrats want and supporting the Republicans in issue after issue.

So we have one, two, maybe three members of Congress that believe in Progressive ideas and carrying out an agenda for which they were elected. The others – not so much.

Here is Jon Stewart hilariously and painfully demonstrating his incredulity with the Democratic lack of courage and conviction. Note that the new symbol for the Democratic Party is the dead possum indicating, “You can’t hurt us, because we are already dead”.
