Representative Joe Wilson embarrassed himself, his state of South Carolina, and the Republican Party with his inability to listen to President Obama’s speech without heckling the President, calling him a liar.

Keith Olbermann was prompted to give a “Special Comment” on his show, not just about the inappropriateness of Joe Wilson’s behavior, but about the fact that Joe Wilson was indisputably wrong about his belief that illegal aliens would receive free health care under the Democratic bill. This was specifically prohibited by the language of the bill, but that fact should be expected to have no impact on Joe Wilson, hater of all things non-white.

Did you know that Joe Wilson is a former military man? They have strict rules about how you address the President of the United States:
Major General Paul D. Eaton – Breach of Discipline
Retired Colonel (Representative) Joe Wilson’s conduct last night is a breach of military protocol and represents a further departure from the historic good order and discipline I expected, in the past, to see from the GOP, pre-conservative talk show entertainers. Recent GOP performers have proven embarrassing to the New Republican Party.
As a retired Soldier I expect better from our Soldiers, to include South Carolina National Guardsmen. But, those rallying in the blogosphere to Wilson’s defense claim that he has reason ‘to be stressed out’ because he has children in the military. Interesting defense.
Fully one third of Army General Officers have sons and daughters fighting in our Armed Forces. Every parent whose children are serving — as all three of mine are — can respect the strain retired Col. Wilson might be feeling, and thank him for his sacrifice. Yet I would never expect to hear anything but the greatest respect for the elected President of the United States from these men and women, regardless of their political persuasion. ‘Stressed’ or not by having military doctors and intelligence officers in the family.
I would also highlight Colonel, Retired (Professor) Andrew Bacevich who has proven a brilliant communicator on behalf of men and women critical of those incompetent warfighters who have handed off serious military dilemmas to President Obama and his administration. Colonel Bacevich lost his son in combat in Iraq a few years ago, and I doubt if the good Colonel would ever embarrass the United States Army or Armed Forces as did Colonel Wilson.
I expect Minority Leader Boehner to police his ranks and help get his GOP colleagues back into a regimen of good order and discipline.
So, not only did Joe Wilson betray his state and his party, he also betrayed his Commander-in-Chief. He could have to answer for that in a court martial, but it is unlikely. His shame is punishment enough.
Joe Wilson has had to get a new server. At this site, he begs for money and then actually gives you instructions on how to send your bank account routing information to him to make a direct deposit into his campaign fund!
I’ve never seen a politician ask for bank account information before. Hey, why don’t I just have my paycheck deposited directly into your account? Saves, all that trouble of routing information from my bank.
Aren’t these the same guys that thought the government was going to get control of your bank account if health care reform passes? The government can’t be trusted, but Joe Wilson can? How can you trust Joe Wilson? He lies.
CNN Reports that the House has given Joe the Dumber, the lightest possible reprimand for his Kanye West moment when Barack Obama was speaking to both Houses of Congress. Joe the Dumber said that Barack Obama had intentionally provoked him and that, if he had had more time, then he would have chosen his words carefully.
Isn’t it interesting that a South Carolina racist, that voted to keep the Confederate flag flying above the capitol, who interned under Strom Thurmond, believes that he is the victim, because he did not have more time to talk during President Obama’s address to Congress? Does he have any clue as to how absurd that statement is?
Again, “Earth to Wilson, Paging Joe Wilson”.
WASHINGTON (CNN) — The House of Representatives on Tuesday formally admonished Republican Rep. Joe Wilson for shouting “you lie” during President Obama’s speech to a joint session of Congress last week.
The House passed a resolution of disapproval on a 240-179 vote that was mostly along party lines, reflecting the Democratic majority in the chamber. Twelve Democrats voted “no,” while seven Republicans voted for the measure. Five representatives, all Democrats, voted “present.”
According to the Office of the House Historian, it was the first time in its 220-year history that the House has disciplined a member for speaking out during a presidential speech in the chamber to a joint session of Congress.
During debate on the resolution, Wilson called the measure a waste of time and failed to apologize to the chamber, as demanded by House Democrats.
South Carolina, where the women are strong, the men are good-looking, and the children are all below average.
